Why do VC’s hate SMB startups? (I will not promote)

I’m genuinely asking this question because I’m confused AF. Our startup has been in fundraising mode and spoken to so many VC’s and every single one of them just seems to hate SMB’s, they don’t want to come near any startup in this space. My company Tabby, is an AI bookkeeper for SMB’s and has had decent success so far with angel investors, but now trying to get capital from the big leagues has proven more difficult than I thought. The VCs we spoke to say SMBs churn, they’re hard to find, and they are very cheap. I spent 10 years as a CPA working with SMB‘s. But there are so many unicorns that operate in the SMB space, so why can’t we? So my question is why do VC’s hate SMB and what suggestions can you give me, should we pivot?
