Two git repos isn't env parity

I built the git-sync kit the internet recommends for Claude Code config, then built it a second time for Cursor, and a cloud session still started with none of it. There are 84 repos on GitHub solving this for two laptops. Not one of them survives a machine that has no home directory, and neither did mine. Here are the four false choices I weighed before admitting what the job actually is.
