S&P 500 Futures Fall in Premarket Trading; Enova International, Essex Property Trust Lag
With U.S. stock markets set to open in two hours, Forgent Power Solutions Inc. Cl A (FPS) was up 9.8% in pre-market trading, and Qorvo Inc. (QRVO) was up 5.3%.
Qualys Inc. (QLYS), Lattice Semiconductor Corp. (LSCC), and INNIO N.V. (INIO) were all posting gains of at least 4%. In early trading, Enova International Inc. (ENVA) and Essex Property Trust Inc. (ESS) had posted declines, falling 17.4% and 13.2%, respectively.
Meanwhile S&P 500 futures were down 0.16%, with futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 0.24%. The Cboe Volatility Index futures were up 0.42%.
In commodities news, Brent crude oil futures were up 0.30%, while gold futures were down 0.65%. Bitcoin was down 2.60% to $76,940.
The 10-Year Treasury yield climbed to 5.007%.
In the previous regular trading session, the S&P 500 and the Dow were down 0.48% and 0.29%, respectively. Stocks in Asia were down overnight, with Japan’s NIKKEI 225 Index down 0.01% and China’s Shanghai Composite Index falling 0.54%.
In afternoon trading, stocks in Europe are down, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index dropping 0.13% and the FTSE 100 Index falling 0.19% from the previous close.
