You can easily exchange between mutual funds online.

For MFs with an ETF share class, it used to be you had to call to convert from MF to ETF, but I believe now you can request that online as well.

So you can exchange from VFIAX to VTIAX (the MF share class of VXUS), then click to convert VTIAX to VXUS. Voilà.
