OpenAI Said to Buy Startup Glass Imaging for $300 Million

OpenAI has bought Glass Imaging, a startup developing higher quality cameras for smartphones, in a deal valued at $300 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The startup, founded by ex-Apple employees, was valued at $100 million in a funding round last year. The acquisition could help OpenAI with its device plans. The ChatGPT maker is working on a family of devices with Jony Ive, the ex-Apple designer whose startup was sold to OpenAI last year.
