How to configure ibus avro to type Bangla/Bengali in Omarchy?

Since Omarchy uses hyprland by default, the usual setup for iBus does not work. Even after I manually run iBus, the ibus window showing "English -> Bengali" steals focus and no Bengali input reaches the apps.

How can I write Bengali in Omarchy with ibus-avro?
