A review of "The Traveler"
In this essay, SFI Professor Cris Moore reviews Miller Scholar Andrea Wulf's latest book, The Traveler. Like her previous work, this book opens a window onto the science and philosophy of the 18th and 19th centuries, this time onto the life of the explorer and naturalist George Foster. "Her style is both precise and personal, giving us a sense of the extraordinary people who led these efforts, and how their drive for discovery animated them," writes Moore.
