S&P 500 Futures Steady in Premarket Trading; Cooper, Navan Lag

With U.S. stock markets set to open in two hours, Ventas Inc. (VTR) was up 6.3% in pre-market trading, and AeroVironment Inc. (AVAV) was up 5.1%.

Kinetik Holdings Inc. (KNTK), SS&C Technologies Holdings Inc. (SSNC), and Krystal Biotech Inc. (KRYS) were all posting gains of at least 4%. In early trading, Cooper Cos. (COO) and Navan Inc. Cl A (NAVN) had posted declines, falling 16.6% and 14.5%, respectively.

Meanwhile S&P 500 futures were up 0.01%, with futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.18%. The Cboe Volatility Index futures were up 2.64%.

In commodities news, Brent crude oil futures were up 0.96%, while gold futures were down 0.79%. Bitcoin fell 0.28% to $77,992.

The 10-Year Treasury yield climbed to 4.871%.

In the previous regular trading session, the S&P 500 and the Dow were down 0.48% and 0.77%, respectively. Stocks in Asia were mixed overnight, with Japan’s NIKKEI 225 Index up 0.20% and China’s Shanghai Composite Index down 0.43%.

In afternoon trading, stocks in Europe are down, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index declining 0.12% and the FTSE 100 Index declining 0.31% from the previous close.
