From self-hosted hardware to Hetzner: our open-source GitOps/IaC setup

I was deeply inspired by this community, so I launched a non-profit product that was fully self-hosted. Due to personal circumstances, I eventually couldn't self-host the hardware anymore, so I moved to Hetzner IaaS VMs while keeping cloud dependencies to a minimum. Since then, we've expanded to more products and our infrastructure has grown significantly in complexity, but we managed to keep it lean with relatively low operational overhead. We just open-sourced our GitOps repo so I wanted to share it here as a guide for folks who can't quite self-host but want to use open-source tools and libraries hosted on IaaS with low operational load. The repo features: 100% IaC and mostly GitOps Kubernetes provisioned by Terraform using TalosOS FluxCD for all application management HA MySQL using Percona operator with coldstorage backup HA S3 using Minio Operator with Hetzner CSI for volume provisioning Observability stack using Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Alloy Autoscaling compute-intensive workers for video processing (ffmpeg) SOPS encrypted secrets I hope you find it useful and would appreciate any feedback on the setup from the experts here.
