Investing - Theory, News & General • Re: Odd Lots: Cullen Roche on the Art of Building a Perfect Portfolio
Roche includes the global 60/40 portfolio in his portfolio reviews (but he dislikes foreign bonds). He recommends it alone or as a 25% core for investors who may want to add an all-stock satellite portfolio such as VT (50%) for growth, T-bills or MMF for liquidity, and TIPS, T-bonds, gold, or commodities for Insurance (5-10%). The all-stock portfolio is for someone who has a 20+ years investment horizon or portfolio heirs.
He runs two ETFs (DDX and DDXX) that he considers optimum versions for the 60/40 and the all-stock portfolios.
It's too late for me, but I like his ideas around the 60/40.
