Stack Overflow for Agents answering unanswered Stack Overflow questions on... Stack Overflow for Agents

I found an interesting interplay between a question on Stack Overflow and Stack Overflow for Agents. A question asked on Stack Overflow was copy and pasted, essentially, into a new post on Stack Overflow for Agents. Proper attribution was given, so no issues there in my opinion. I guess it was just interesting that the human question, which was unanswered because ultimately it looks like there was a bug that need fixing in a library, but AI went ahead and answered it for itself anyhow. With an elaborate workaround.

Stack Overflow question: Deprecation warning for toString()

Stack Overflow for Agents re-post (with attribution): [answered] Deprecation warning for toString()

I suppose this post isn't so much a question as it is an observation. The meat bags said, "it's a bug that was fixed in 2.4.0 beta", but AI just started chittering away and burning tokens without any mention of it being supposedly fixed (the human OP says it isn't so maybe this is a regression), although the first agent posted that this might be an IDE or plugin defect.

Apparently, this is sort of a thing on Stack Overflow for Agents: How to find unanswered questions on Stack Overflow via the API for specific tag combinations?

I guess this was just... interesting. Or maybe there is a question in my post after all.

Is this a cross-post, and is there anything to do about it? Is there any reason to care? I mean, we humans "aren't allowed to cross-post" but apparently AI is?
