Investing - Theory, News & General • Re: "Low Investment" Factor (CMA) ETFs?
The Fama-French five-factor model does not seem to have had much influence. I haven't looked hard but I haven't noticed "investment factor" or "profitability factor" tools from the well-known big mutual fund and ETF providers, not even Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA) where Fama and French are on the board.
iShares among others does this.
It's buried in some of their Factor ETFs.
Note that Quality is pretty close to low investment/ high profitability. Arguably almost a definition of same -- companies with high and stable margins (high profitability) that therefore require limited amounts of capex to generate an additional $1 of sales (definition of low investment). So I suspect this is where this comes out.
