Raspberry PI 8GB running Immich and other stuff with external NAS

So I have a Raspberry Pi with 8GB Ram and wanted to run Immich and probably some other stuff probably at least Mealie. I have a TrueNAS running with 4TB storage space and was wondering if I can run Docker stuff on the Raspberry and store everything on the NAS. I know you can mount the NAS as external library but I never got that to work. Is there any different way?
