Comment on Watching a Z80 from an RP2350 by hanshuebner
This seems to be a popular idea, and I had it a couple of weeks ago as well when I needed a way to observe crashes of my Northstar Advantage. What I came up with was a setup that listens to all of the Z80's signals and provides an instruction execution trace based on what the CPU is doing on the bus. It can be triggered flexibly and proved to be quite instrumental when I ported the VT100 firmware to the Northstar, as so many things were difficult to see from just static analysis of the code.
