About Arlmy (Finally I wrote it!)

At Blaugust’s last day, finally write some english haha! Please forgive my poor english.

This is Arlmy from China, born in Liaoning Province in Northeastern China, a boy who grew up heavily influenced by the Internet, I start writing Blog for almost 23 years, I used many web platforms for blogging, but they kept going bankrupt, and then I lost my words and thoughts.

I have so many interests, including music (metal, brit-pop, post-rock, punk…), books, movies, ACG. I like to make new friends, mostly from SNS sites, and I enjoy connecting with people and understanding their inner thoughts and feelings (I mean, getting to the heart of who they are).

The title of my blog, “素生” is a new nickname I’ve used since 2015, “素” means white, plain, simple, while “生” means newborn, life, living. Together, it means to live everyday like a brand new day, as if just born as a baby. A reader of my blog even named her baby by “素生” at April 23rd of 2025.

After moving from Beijing to Chengdu (Southwestern China) in 2025, I wrote everyday, for 462 days. Besides want to record my life and the changes, it was also a form of resistance against the increasing prevalence of AI-generated writing.
