"Watch tag""Ignore tag" button when mouse over tag does not update the Watched Tags widget or the feed until a reload

When I mouse over the tags assigned to a Stack Overflow post in the home page "Interesting posts for you" feed it shows "watch tag" and "ignore tag" buttons.

If I click either of the buttons and then go to "Customize Feed" I see that the tag has not been added to either the add or ignore set.

However, if I go to an individual post and click on a tag there, the tag is added along with any tags I clicked on the home page feed.

Refreshing the home page also updates the "customize your feed" contents so apparently the bug is just in the script code for the "customize your feed" link.

This is in Windows Google Chrome latest version as of August 30, 2026. JavaScript is enabled and there are no extensions installed.
