Investing - Theory, News & General • Re: How Many Vanguard Customers are Considering Moving to Fidelity over $25 Service Fees?
. . .
ETA: Somewhere, someone is planning to switch banks because it no longer provides postage-prepaid envelopes to mail in checks.
Vanguard used to provide postage-prepaid envelopes to mail in checks.
But then that was back in the days of 20-basis-point expense ratios.
Speaking of which, remember the days when your bank used to mail you your canceled checks each month? I sort of miss those days. But then that was back in the days when USPS actually functioned, and people didn't steal your mail from your unlocked mailbox. I guess in these modern days we just have to adapt to the new realities.
I've never paid Vanguard any fees. Except when i first started investing back in the mid 1990's and had to pay Vanguard's then $10 per mutual-fund low-balance fee on funds with less than $10K.
