Body pulled from Lake Michigan near Belmont Harbor; death investigation underway

A death investigation is underway after the body of a man was pulled from Lake Michigan waters near Belmont Harbor Wednesday morning.

About 10:19 a.m., the body of a 22-year-old man was recovered from the water in the 300 block of West Belmont, Chicago police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to CPD, detectives were conducting a death investigation pending autopsy results.
