The peer review for this year’s Summer Math Exposition is live! You can join in here.

It’s a fun way to stay engaged with and support any new up-and-comers in the math exposition space, and to stumble upon lots of lessons you otherwise might not see.

It’s been a bit quiet on 3blue1brown in recent months, but ironically I’ve had more going on than ever. Much of this comes down to the fact that my main change this year has been to take on more of a team, and if I’m honest, I’m still finding my bearings on how best to change my workflows around that. For the curious among you, here’s a short update on the main projects in the pipeline:

• A collaboration with Welch Labs on Reinforcement Learning
• Something on what’s happening with AI in math
  • Since mid 2025, we’ve been gathering interviews with mathematicians on this, with the thought of eventually having some kind of documentary. Needless to say, this has only become more relevant since we began.
  • In the meantime, there are lots of specific stories around the pieces of math that LLMs have (and have not) been able to solve, which we’ll start rolling out very soon.
• Finishing out the miniseries on “Compression is Intelligence”
• We’ve been doing a series of monthly puzzles, in collaboration with MoMath, and will bundle together explanations of those with similar problem-solving tactics into fuller videos.
