I have had some success today. I now have a DokuWiki page:
I setup a Debian server, installed the needed packages, downloaded the site, and messed around a bit. I will likely change a lot before all is said and done. DokuWiki supports markdown so making content will be easy for me. There is a syntax its creators made, I might look at that if I run into some issues. It definitely needs a dark mode.
While setting this up I also figured out a DHCP issue that I have run into a few times. I will setup a DHCP reservation with a MAC Address, but after the install of the OS is complete it will not use the address and it just gets one in the DHCP scope. I think it is a KEA/PFsense thing, but I’m not 100% sure. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t, but more with VM’s. My workaround is to create the reserve after the OS is installed.
