Outshine Fruit Bars recalled nationwide due to glass pieces: List of flavors impacted
Check your freezer: Popular fruit bar popsicles sold nationwide are being recalled because they could contain glass.
Five flavors of Outshine Fruit Bars were recalled Sunday, according to a news release, “due to possible foreign material contamination with glass.” The recall was announced by Outshine parent company Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, with lots of the bars distributed to retailers and grocery stores nationwide.
According to the release, the recalled Outshine Fruit Bar flavors include Strawberry, Watermelon, Grape, Tangerine and Black Cherry. The 2.5 ounce bars came in six-count packages, Outshine said.

No other Outshine products or flavors are part of the recall, the release said, and no injuries have been reported to date.
“Consumers who have purchased the affected product should dispose of it or return it to their place of purchase for a full refund,” Outshine said in the release. “The safety, quality, and integrity of our products remain our highest priority. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this action may cause our consumers and retail customers.”
Outshine Fruit Bar popsicles are sold at a number of popular grocer and retailers in Illinois, including Dollar General, Walgreens, Walmart, Target and Jewel Osco.
