James Webb discovers a “black hole star” the size of the Solar System

James Webb has spotted a bizarre cosmic object that could be the first known “black hole star” — a massive black hole surrounded by a star-like envelope of gas roughly the size of the Solar System. The discovery may also help explain the mysterious “little red dots” frequently seen in the early universe.
