Jellyfin Client Audio Volume Is Much Lower Than Other Players
Hello,
I have noticed a significant audio volume difference when playing the same media files through Jellyfin compared to other media players.
The audio volume is noticeably lower when using Jellyfin's built-in player. This issue occurs across multiple Jellyfin clients, especially:
Windows client
Android TV client
Android client
For comparison, if I play the same file using another player on the same device, such as VLC or another media player, the volume is noticeably louder and sounds normal.
The problem seems to be related to Jellyfin's built-in playback rather than the device, headphones, or audio hardware, because the same behavior occurs across different clients/devices.
I have not changed any special audio settings on the server. On Android TV, I also checked the advanced audio settings, including Audio Night Mode, Audio Output (Downmix to Stereo / Direct), and the FFmpeg audio decoding option, but the overall volume is still noticeably lower.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there a known reason why Jellyfin's built-in player outputs lower audio volume than other players?
Any suggestions or information about a possible fix would be appreciated.
Thank you.
