What are your quirks when reading a physical book?

I have no choice but to count how many pages a chapter is before starting it. I've had this habit for eons and I try breaking it every year, but to no avail. It doesn't do anything, really, it's not a matter of "is the next chapter long?" because I'm perfectly at ease with slotting a bookmark in the middle of a chapter. Sometimes I'll find the next chapter is only a couple of pages, and then I can gauge if I have time to just read it really quickly. Otherwise, there's no rhyme or reason, s'far as I can tell
