Dinosaur extinction may have been fueled by Chicxulub impact dust

Sixty-six million years ago, a giant asteroid struck what is now Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula and wiped out the dinosaurs along with about 75 percent of life on Earth. Scientists have long argued over what caused most of the deaths. A new study points to an intense wave of heat, made far worse by a thick
