Top managers with the Brookfield investment firm planned to pitch federal officials on their ambitions to invest in Canadian AI data centres, according to an internal note found by the IJF.
The note said the scheduled July 2025 meeting — which was cancelled without explanation and not rescheduled — was to “learn about Brookfield’s AI investment plans for facilities in Canada.”
