guitar / amp switching tool ?

was just wondering , sorry if it's obvious , i'm a noob when it comes to new gear , ... is there one (1) box that switches , between amps inputs and outputs with one klick ? so i got different amps , let's assume up to 8 , in the control room , one speaker in the recording room and one musician in the control room . would i really need up to 8 loads ? thx
