Samsung Sets Galaxy Unpacked for July 22 in London With Z Fold 8 Ultra, Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8, and Galaxy Glasses Expected

Samsung has announced its next Galaxy Unpacked event, scheduled for July 22, 2026, in London. The event is set to start at 2 p.m. BST (9 a.m. ET), according to Samsung's official event page and reports from Android Central.

The company is expected to unveil a new foldable lineup, updated Galaxy wearables, and Samsung's AI glasses. This will be the first time since the launch of the Galaxy S3 nearly 14 years ago that Samsung has hosted an Unpacked event in London.

The event will be streamed on Samsung.com, the Samsung Newsroom website, and the company's official YouTube channel.

New Galaxy Foldables, Watches, and Galaxy Glasses at Unpacked

Android Central reports that Samsung is expected to expand the Galaxy Z Fold line rather than issue a direct successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The successor to last year's book-style foldable is expected to launch as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, while the standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 name is expected to be assigned to a new passport-style device that is shorter and wider than the current Fold form factor.

The passport-style model is reportedly positioned to compete with Apple's rumored foldable iPhone. Android Central states that Samsung has not explained the change in naming and that the company plans to ask for clarification at the event.

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is also expected to launch as the successor to the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Android Central notes that last year's lineup also included a lower-cost Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, but it has not confirmed whether an FE variant will return this year.

Alongside the foldables, Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Watch 9 and, according to leaks referenced by Android Central, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. The Watch Ultra 2 would be the first update to the Ultra line since its introduction and is expected to include hardware changes beyond the incremental updates seen in recent Galaxy Watch releases.
