Am i the only one lost with how Claude projects works ?

I use both claude chat on iOS and claude cowork on both windows and mac os, using specific MCP configuration mix with Claude online MCPs and locally powered MCP clients (using MCPM.sh on windows for now, really easy to use). I honestly understand now how managing MCPs and enrich AI conversations with it but while creating a new "project" which is about cleaning up my home assistant i've come to realize project management in Claude desktop is a mess : I have Claude Chat projects and Claude cowork projects separated now by a "Local" state. I can't link Claude Chats memory to a Claude cowork project anymore I don't understand what is the difference between "Chat" and "Co-Work" apart the fact that Cowork works with a folder and Chat does not by default. Ah and technically i can't reach co-work local projects without using dispatch. I get i'm somewhat of a weird user of my Claude Pro account (i use it to work with my legal defense attorney on a french work case when, i am not figuring planning parts of my life or using it as a secretary), but i am curious to see if people share the same feeling as me here and how people work that out.
