Comment on WWDC 2026 Wish Lists by ObjC4Life

1) Objective-C 3.0 and renewed focus on things that matter to APP DEVELOPERS not topics that tickle compiler writers.
2) Soft deprecation of SwiftUI, it is dragging everything down. Focus.
3) The resurrection of Interface Builder.
4) No no no fucking rewriting of any frameworks for no obvious benefit.

So yea..it's a wish list for real.

I had the privilege of having to write some Swift stuff recently (Swift only framework). The tools are so bad. The compiler is so slow. Showing documentation doesn't work. I constantly get hit with some "Compiler timed out - please file a radar" cryptic error. It is fucking amazing this thing got so popular. I mean the people inside Apple...there has to be some of them there still that remember how it used to be. How can they not fucking see what's been lost!?
