I sold some 2029s and bought some 2027s (at a higher yield). I've never sold longer to buy shorter before, but I needed to sell something longer at some point for the RMD, and this curve presented a good opportunity to do so. Isn't the curve pretty much irrelevant when doing a trade of one TIPS for another, since you locked in your yield when you purchased the 2029s? Why not just wait until the end of 2027 to do the switch? Nothing is locked in unless you hold to maturity. If I wait, the yield curve could s
