Milwaukee Summerfest 2027 will feature shifted dates

Artists like Garth Brooks, Ed Sheeran and Post Malone rocked the stage at Summerfest in Milwaukee in 2026, but next year’s festival will see its dates shift slightly later in the calendar.

According to the latest information from Summerfest officials,next year’s festival will get underway the weekend of June 24-26, and will continue on the weekends of July 1-3 and July 8-10.

Those dates represent a shift forward of about a week in the calendar, as this year’s festival got underway on June 16.

According to NBC affiliate WTMJ in Milwaukee, the adjustment to the calendar was made in an effort to avoid conflict with other festivals in the area, including Milwaukee’s Juneteenth Festival.

Reporting from multiple outlets in Milwaukee also indicates the East Town Association will shift its Bastille Days celebration one week later in the calendar to avoid conflicting with Summerfest, allowing residents to experience the myriad of festivals around the Milwaukee area to kick off the summer.

A slew of remarkable artists have performed at Summerfest over the years, including Paul McCartney, Johnny Cash, Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga. This year’s festival was headlined by Garth Brooks, who kicked off the festivities in mid-June.

Muse, Jelly Roll and Megan Moroney also rocked the stage for the festival, which just wrapped up over the Fourth of July weekend.

Headliners and other information about the 2027 edition of the festival will be released at a later date.
