How do y'all promote your product and get users and clients? I will not promote

So, I wanted some guidance on getting users. I have a pretty good presence on LinkedIn since I write regularly there, and I do get some users through LinkedIn. I also publish on Medium, but you can't really advertise there. My question is: how do you get your users and clients? Do you cold email people, rely on word of mouth, build a personal brand, create content, run ads, or use some other strategy? I'm curious to hear what has actually worked for you, especially in the early stages submitted by /u/No-Lan
