My birthday’s coming up, Jan 20th. Fifty-seven. As my Uncle Harold used to say in the 1980s, “Hey it’s my birthday. Keep it under fifty bucks.” I’m not sure what I thought I’d be doing right now, 30 years ago. But I wouldn’t have guessed being in the best physical shape of my life, cranking out thousands of lines of production code per day, chatting all day with brilliant friends all around the world, and generally having an absolute blast.
