Self-host your own open data portal: open source framework, plain Next.js output, no SaaS

Hi r/selfhosted , maintainer here. PortalJS is an open source (MIT) framework for building data portals, the kind of site a city, NGO, or research group uses to publish datasets so people can browse, search, and download them. Why this might interest this sub specifically: the usual options for publishing datasets are SaaS platforms (Socrata, ArcGIS Hub) that charge a lot and own your setup, or running full CKAN, which is a beast to host and gives you a dated frontend.
