Email alerts for downtime never worked for me, so I moved everything to webhooks
Every monitoring tool defaults to emailing you when your site goes down, which is the one moment email is useless: buried, delayed, or in spam. I ended up wiring alerts as webhooks into Slack + my own endpoint instead, and it's been night and day. Wrote up the approach (full disclosure, I build UptimeMonitoring, so the example uses it, but the pattern is tool-agnostic): uptimemonitoring.com/blog/get-alerted-when-your-website-goes-down submitted by /u/lucian-d [link] [comments]
