Apple contacts issue with radicale

I just self hosted my card dav server (radicale). I added the account to my ios and im using Apple Contacts. I find that some contacts just do not sync. Im not sure why that is. Lets say i added 20 contacts on my iphone, only 7-8 of them are properly synced with the server. The rest are in my phone, under the correct “list” which references the radicale address book but just do not seem to sync. I have a feeling this happens when i edit a contact but im not sure whether this is true or not and also im not s
