Is this normal? Docker images taking up too much memory over time

i have a aar stack, home page, frigate, paperless web, immich. almost all of them are using network mappings. but over time, the Docker.raw container keeps getting bigger and bigger until i have to go in and wipe it and redownload all my images. which isnt a terrible thing to update everything but having it eventually start to fail because of this is not ideal. the docker is set up on a linux mint has any experienced this? this there a way to see where all the data is getting accumulated? when i investigate
