Self-hosted NVR on a budget: Frigate + Lumen on Apple devices — 2026 setup

For anyone running a self-hosted NVR setup, here's what I'm running + the native apps I wrote to interface with it. The stack: - Proxmox host (passthrough GPU for object detection) - Frigate container (latest) - go2rtc for WebRTC / RTMP - Lumen (native Apple app) Cost to run: - Frigate: free (open source, Apache 2.0) - go2rtc: free (open source) - Lumen: free (no subscription) - GPU: amortized ~€50/year (shared across other containers) Why Frigate + go2rtc instead of Mocktail/Codeproject.AI: - F
