Books You Want to Recommend, But Can't

I was cleaning a bookshelf and found a copy of The People in the Trees by Hanya Yanagihara. I think it's an incredible book, and the story it tells about abuse felt worth my time. I think the book is structured well, and I don't have memories of feeling as if it lags anywhere. I really like that Yanagihara doesn't feel like she needs to judge the actions of the characters; she seems to trust the reader enough to hold their own thoughts.
