RelayTV – self-hosted "cast any link to the TV" runtime with an HTTP API, Home Assistant integration, and a built-in Jellyfin client (Docker, GPL-3.0)
I got tired of every "cast to the TV" option assuming a cloud account or a closed ecosystem (Chromecast, Plex account creep, vendor apps). I wanted to point a cheap Linux box at my TV and just send it a URL — from my phone, from Home Assistant, or from a script — and have it play now or queue for later. So I built RelayTV. It's a local playback engine + queue manager + browser remote + HTTP API that runs on the box connected to your TV. Core playback has no account and no cloud dependency. What it does Play
