Fable: who is going to pay for API?

So.. some have run out already, everyone will run out on subscription tomorrow. I am thinking about API payment for special cases. Yes. It was good. Just read that polymarkets also said GPT 5.6 is delayed, so.. I will probably not pay API though because of a) being cheap and b) I dont want to teach Anthropic and other vendors that I like this sort of behavior. After all this might become common practice.
