How do I stop picking colors like a kid in a candy store?
I consider myself to be a pretty talented professional designer, with many impressive projects under my belt in a variety of fields. But when it comes to brands, themes, or semantic colors for a design system, I seem to always gravitate towards the brightest most saturated versions of well known color categories. I was probably inspired in my formative years by by the kinds of things Google and some other tech companies got going on where they have those four bright colors and remix them in their app logo
