Is DeepSeek V4 Pro already good enough for everyday coding?

I ran out of both Codex and Claude Code yesterday, so I had to use DeepSeek V4 Pro today. I thought it would be painful, but… it was actually fine? For everyday coding work, I didn’t feel a huge drop-off. Maybe my tasks weren’t that hard, but it made me wonder whether the gap between these coding models is getting much smaller.
