Blindsighted ~ Karin Slaughter is describe with one word; wow. I can't believe it was her debut novel.

Please no spoilers for its sequel books! I know I'm ~25 years late to the party, but I just finished Blindsighted by Karin Slaughter. I didn't realise it was her debut novel because it was so well written, it had fleshed out characters and it felt like it had no filler. I'm in no way saying it's comparable, but the way Slaughter focused on the ins, outs and niches of her characters, it felt like The Living Dead by George Romero and Daniel Kraus.
