I'm watching this stuff because, even after "rebalancing" to match the rest of our total portfolio, after selling our house we have a significant chunk of cash. I haven't taken a very wide look at CDs nationwide because I have an inflexible rule that I will not add an account at any new institution unless I close all accounts at one old one.
