Claude Code versus Claude Cowork

I've mostly used codex for programming, but I'm trying out claude for its coding abilities. While testing out cowork, I realized it can do coding too. Sometimes cowork is literally just editing the files to code, and sometimes it manually calls a claude code agent to do a task, so it seems like they are two seperate things? So in this case, what is the difference between claude cowork and claude code? Which one is better for coding? I would usually just realize that claude code is meant more for coding and
