Nobody told me traffic was this hard. I feel stupid. "I will not promote"

Spent 3 months building. Launched. 4 visitors. Two of them were me. Tried SEO. Tried posting. Tried telling friends. Nothing. Then I stumbled onto this weird idea what if founders just showed each other's startups on their own sites. Like a silent mutual agreement. You show mine, I show yours. Felt too simple to work.
