Comment on Om Malik, 1966-2026 by Karan A Chanana

Om Malik , will always be remembered for his warm smile and the warmth of his heart and actions.

I got to know Om when I was 14 years old. Om Was 6 years older but a lot wiser for his years always. His intellect , passion , perseverance and infectious humour made him who he really was.

OM was the only person who believed in my ability to rally at 17 yo. He became my navigator and we did the Dara Mansoon rally. We finished 7 th overall and 1 st in the unmodified class.

OM always spoke of his ambition to be in America and it was heart warming to see his achieve his goal. He spent a week with me in london on his way to Migrating to America.

In 2024 November my son had food poisoning while visiting San fran and Om promptly went to see him . That is one of the many heart warming things he would naturally do.

OM has been a source of inspiration , trust and a confidant at every stage of my life, you will sorely be missed my friend .

Be in peace my friend the heavens are lucky to have you .
