My reference for a supercomputer is still the Cray-1. 80MHz 8Mb of RAM, costing USD 9M in 1977 and needing 115kW of electricity.

And then, a few decades later, some hobbyist re-created a working version in the size of a (beefy) keychain holder, rnning on a wallwart power supply. (Although it runs at a reduced 33MHz.)
